Windy at the coast

For this week’s Travel theme, Ailsa has chosen Wind.

Quite a few years ago, this was an off-season sight at Wimereux, France:

  1. The colourful kites break up the dull sky nicely. Good one Sue.
    Best wishes, Pete.

Well, it’s one way to brighten up a dull day! Not that it is, today…we’ve had a reasonable amount of sun mixed with clouds today ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Fascinating – excellent captured for the theme… ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Lots of pretty fingernails floating in the sky ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. I love watching kite surfing at Exmouth, they really speed over the water!

  5. hi Sue, love the soft haziness of ocean mist rising in the air making it look very atmospheric with the bright kites contrasting against that soft gentleness. it makes the day both soft and bright in an appealing way!

The scene looks quite sombre with theheavy grey colours and the container ship. The bright wind surfers are like smiles in the gloom.

  7. Kite-surfing looks amazing. I remember watching some in South Africa when I was there in 2008. You definitely need wind for that sport. I wouldn’t mind doing the kite buggy racing on the sand, though it looks quite tricky.

  8. Like giant colorful birds Sue. Lovely!

  9. Lovely relaxed punctuation marks in the sky, with something of the errant behaviour of bubbles.

  10. Perfect photo for the challenge this Sue, love the way the kites curve against the greyish skyline ๐Ÿ™‚
