Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Older than 50 Years

Here’s a sepia toned image of the vaulted crypt below the ruins of Fountain’s Abbey (founded in 1132, it’s a little over 50 years old!), taken one rainy day a few years ago:

  1. Very spooky, Sue. I would need someone to hold my hand to walk down there. 🙂

  2. Fascinating, very fascinating

    – and a bit more than 50 years old… 😀

  3. Fountains Abbey is a very atmospheric place, and great for photos. It has been a very long time since I visited, but your shot has captured it well Sue.

Sheer luck, it was a pretty miserable day, but every now and again the clouds lifted a tad, and there was a bit of light filtering into the crypt

Glad you like this, Cee 🙂 I don’t have a lot of images of Fountains because it was such a lousy day, and I was trying to stay dry!
