Old-fashioned

Over at her blog, Where’s my Backpack, Ailsa has chosen Old-fashioned for this week’s Travel Theme.

I have given myself a theme-within-a theme….old-fashioned lettering/signs (brought about by a couple of recent finds!):

  1. I find it amazing that so many old adds has survived.. Makes you wonder what’s really going to be old fashioned from our time.

  2. Surely the ‘old’ amplifier ad on the wall must be a modern homage to those of days gone by? Either way, I find it very appealing.
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. Brilliant gallery …. you could have put my photo in here.*laughing … but that would only had stand for OLD!
    Well spotted details.

Thanks, Poppy….after I had taken the shot of the painted sign on the wall, I knew I had some images that would tie together for this challenge!

The old bible was in my loft, the Singer sign in a small town in the Languedoc, France, and the painted sign in Silvertown, London
