Wordless Wednesday: Raspberry Ripple

SJudd_Gardens_Walled Garden_2015-05-31 15 - Version 3SM

  1. How much post-processing? I love the solitary sharp rose and the blurred background of other roses and column. Evocative of story in a way total sharpness could never be.

    • Sue

Hi Meg! I used a large aperture to get the background out of focus in camera. I then used a blur vignette in Nik Color Efex to blur some of the foreground roses, and Voila! Job done.

  2. Nice one Sue. I take it that this is your favourite walled garden?
    Best wishes, Pete.

  3. Beautiful image, Sue. πŸ™‚

  4. So beautiful Sue! πŸ™‚

  5. Perfect! No other words touch it.

  6. Ooh yes. Lovely πŸ™‚

  7. roses are my fave flower.

  8. That’s the name of the rose isn’t it? What a romantic image.

    • Sue

Can’t remember the name of the rose – I was referring to the colours, raspberry ripple was an ice cream when I was little (very synthetic) and this image put me in mind of it!! πŸ™‚

  9. And what a delicious raspberry ripple this is, for the memories and your gorgeous photo Sue πŸ™‚

  10. This must be Italy too πŸ˜‰ Fabulous choice of DoF!

  11. I love this! what a design, it just leads you right in and lets you wander the garden path! gorgeous colours and tones. very beautiful.
