One four Challenge – March Wk 1

Finally, my post for week 1 of the March One Four Challenge as set by Robyn over at her blog, Captivate Me. One Four Challenge is all about processing an image 4 different ways over 4 weeks. I really enjoy this challenge, but as life is throwing plenty of other challenges at me lately, I’m often rushing it!

I recently discovered a +3 magnifying filter that I bought nearly 30 years ago….. With a 49mm thread, it didn’t fit any of my current lenses, but I bought a step-up ring and fitted it to my tiny Olympus 45mm lens. And took another image of the White Rabbit, this time on top of the old Alice in Wonderland book.

I decided I wanted a darker image for the first one, so I played with some vignettes, and finally came up with this:

Out of Wonderland (again)

Out of Wonderland (again)

I will post the original image at Week 4.

Over the next few weeks, I want to see if I can add a bit of mystery…I have a few ideas, but whether they will work is another matter!

Take a look at Robyn’s blog here for more entries.

  1. Cute rabbit. I wonder where you are going to go with this?

  2. Lovely clear print on the book spine Sue. Not always easy to get a shot lit like this, but you managed it!
    best wishes, Pete.

  3. Oh how absolutely delightful, Sue! Love it. 🙂

  4. LOVE this Sue! This is imaginative and fun. Love the mystery already! Really looking forward to seeing what you do next 😃

  5. I like it! Looking forward to it Sue 😀

  6. This is pretty mysterious – I look forward to what else you come up with 🙂

  7. Curiouser and curiouser!! Right up my alley Sue!!

  8. Someone’s laying down on the job 🙂 Sorry, Sue!
Hooray- I love to see where you started from. I just said that on Chiascuro.

  9. I like a bit of mystery… intrigued already! Looking forward to the next edits!

  10. Oooooh, Alice in Wonderland, my favourite book when I was a kid. That looks like something you’ll have some fun with!

  11. Fab shot Sue! Curious to see how you can better this. I am coveting that gorgeous book 🙂

  12. lensaddiction

Is he supposed to be sideways? Im not sure why if he is 🙂 Its a nice atmospheric edit.

  13. I have never used magnifying filters and a really nice use. I like the bact that the rabbit and the book are sharp with colour yet everything else is dark.
