For my Day 3 of the Five Day Black and White Photograph Challenge where for 5 days you share a monochrome photograph, I’m posting an image of doors seen somewhere in Shoreditch, London.

….but is it art?
And today, I would like to nominate Adrian of Cornwall Photographic to take up this Five Day Black and White Photograph Challenge…. I love his landscapes, and would be interested to see some monochrome images from him. Remember, no pressure, you do not need to take up the challenge!
Wonderful door – and for a moment I thought it was ingrid Bergman on the left…
Oooops!! We would not be amused..(in Queen speak)
;-D
😀😀
What a fantastic catch …. Sue,
Thanks, Wivi! I need to get back to that area and see what new stuff is there…
Is it Art? I reckon if you removed the door, it would win the Turner Prize!
Great shot Sue, multi-layered street art at its best.
Regards from Norfolk. Pete.
Multi-layered street art it is….and I love your comment re: the Turner prize 😳
It looks absolutely fabulous in B&W, Sue. Well done. I think this door is very artistic, love it.
Happy Valentine,
Dina & Co x
Thank you, Dina! I think this is better in Black & White than the original…. 😀
I love the textures and tonal range in this image Sue. Lots to hold your interest.
Thank you for the challenge. I will see what I can do.. 🙂
Thanks! Glad you will take up the challenge…looking forward to seeing what you come up with 🙂
Multi-layered art indeed and works very well processed this way. You got some great stuff from Shoreditch!
I have found some great stuff there, a very rich area for photographs!
Your photo is art! (I’m one of the other four nominees by Ben…)
Many thanks, Bunty! Glad you like it 🙂
Nice
Thanks 🙂

Wow what a find Sue! Gorgeous!
Thank you, Sue… after I posted it, I thought it would do for Symmetry…so may have to post the colour version for that!!
love this & love decay
You and me both….
I can imagine that it’s colorful, but the b/w adds drama and depth. Love it.
Thanks! I like the result myself! 🙂
Great image Sue, superbly presented. Sorry for not following up on your nomination for this challenge – I am struggling to keep up with everything at the moment.
Oh, don’t worry, Robin, I quite understand….and after all, there is no pressure to participate! 🙂
Beautiful! I really like being able to see the layers/marks of…history there! 🙂
Thanks, Ese….I’m going to see what other ‘layered’ images I have from streets.. 😀
Draws you right in! 🙂
I was pleased with this monochrome version – speaks to me far more than the original colour shot. 🙂
incredible image Sue!!! I love the monochrome as well!!
Thanks, Cybele!
This photo is wonderful art! I love looking at all the little details here!
I was pleased with this in monochrome – I think it makes us notice more of the detail!
nice challenge, I’ve tried to follow, invited by Allan Smorra.
Excellent, Frizz, look forward to seeing what you come up with. I discovered WordPress had unfollowed me from your site, thought I hadn’t seen any posts from you in the Reader recently…..
