I was nominated by Ben Rowe of Aperture 64 to take up the 5 Day Black and White Photograph Challenge.
There are only two rules-
1.For 5 days create a post using any past or present photo in black and white (I shall use recent, unposted images).
2.Each day, you nominate another photographer
My first picture for the challenge was taken at Southwark underground station, London, on the Jubilee line. it is mostly stainless steel and glass. I liked the disconnects this image produced…..
Today I am going to nominate Allan Smorra of OhmSweetOhm to post his selection of black and white pictures each day for five days.
But remember, there is no obligation to join in…I have nominated you because I like your photography, and am keen to see what you would come up with for your 5 monochrome images.
Love this on, Sue. 🙂
Thank you, Sylvia… It’s an oddity, but I like it in a strange way.
Love the abstract nature of this shot. Tricky exposure too, I’m guessing.
Best wishes, Pete.
Thanks, Pete! Yes, I spent a bit of time changing the camera settings to get the exposure right, and also waiting for the right people to walk past!
Very nice bw image, good work!
Best regards: bulb
Thanks! Glad you like it 😀
Fantastic first day, I like how it appears people are moving in the mirror but in fact you know they are still because it is a reflection. Can’t wait to see tomorrow.
Thanks, Ben! Tomorrow will be something completely different….
Fantastic image. Great tones and disconnects.
Many thanks, Simon 🙂
I like your shots from the underground. It has always seemed such a dark place to try and take photographs but you seem to do very well. This is a great quirky shot.
I love a bit of luck, a quirk, and the knowledge that allows me to use manual settings on a camera!!
Always useful 🙂
😀
That’s a really super picture Sue. Excellent stuff! 🙂
Many thanks, Adrian….it caught my eye as I was walking through a few weeks ago, so I returned with camera!
very cool.
Thanks, Gavin, glad you think so!
Love the patterns and the ‘broken’ people 🙂
Something different, eh?
Excellent Sue – really makes you look twice.
Thanks, Robin! I was quite fascinated by the fractured reflections
This is a fabulous image Sue. Just great. I’ve been nominated as well, and I never post even two days in a row…maybe I’ll bend the rules and post more on my schedule..there’s plenty of inspiration in black and white, isn’t there?
Thanks, Lynn! I was pleased with the way this came out. Glad you’ve been nominated, I look forward to seeing your images…and 5 posts in 5 days???
I’ll never make 5 in 5 days but I’ll do them as quickly as I can!
Well, it’s all a game!
Super image, Sue 🙂
Thanks! Glad you like it 🙂
Sue, this is one h….. of an image. You do fantastic B&W
Thank you very much, Wivi….I’m getting to know which images will work for monochrome 😀
