Yellow or Gold?

This week, the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is Yellow, and over at Where’s my Backpack, Ailsa has chosen Golden as the Travel theme this week…..

Ever one for the two birds and one stone approach, I have chosen this image of the Piazza del Anfiteatro in Lucca, Italy. Those walls ahead are yellow, but in the early morning light they took on a rather golden hue…and I certainly think the reflection in the cobbles is golden! Whatever, I certainly think it’s a lovely splash of colour….

  1. I like both colors yet I can’t always see the difference in them. Love this picture. Now, if you send me there, I can give you a better judgement call on what color it is!!! 🙂

  2. Beautiful image and a very good candidate for both the challenges…

    Lovely composition 🙂

  3. Beautifully framed too! Must go to Lucca!

  4. Like a visual metaphor, the warm tone of hope stands out from the bluish cast of sadness.

  5. Beautifully framed! And perfect for your dual interpretation! 🙂

  6. This is truly beautifully framed and presented, Sue. We’d love to go to Lucca again.
