Over at her blog, Captivate Me, Robyn has started this new challenge. It’s all about processing one image, in four different ways over 4 weeks.
Here’s my attempt for week 2. Alas, I have had very little time this week for blogging generally, never mind attending to this challenge. So this is a bit of a hasty job, sky darkened then the whole image manipulated in NikEffex HDR (which isn’t true HDR, but I thought it imparted an altogether more gloomy look to this image):
Not sure where I’m going with this next week!
Have a look and see what others are posting here.
I really like this look!
Thanks, Angeline….I’m not so sure today, it’s too much like the weather here at present!
Very interesting looking..like an old movie set..but nevertheless captivating !
Thank you – I like the movie set idea!
Morning from Oz Sue – i like this experiment.
Makes me think of film straight away and puts me in some ancient place where its moody and drizzling😀
You’re note late – we have until Sunday each week 😉
Thanks for playing!!
Wishing you some nicer weather xx
Thanks, Robyn…. By the way I still don’t know how to get a pingback!
Sue, here’s an example.
When you are writing a post – highlight the words you want to link (to create a ping back) for example ‘Robyn’ and while it is highlighted, click on the paper clip up on the toolbar. Then you will add a URL of a post you want to link to and follow the prompts. To create a ping back, the URL or web address, needs to be the link of a post – not just the blog address… Does this make sense?
Let me know 🙂
Thanks! I’ll give it a go next week….
That’s what I’m doing, anyway….but I don’t think it creates a pingback. Ah, well…
I got one 😉😀
Yay!
😃😃
I really like the trees in the distant hill, they are a great color hue and this image feels more “together” this week. The sky gloomy, the craggy stone walls and the trees in the background all work well together.
Thanks, Carrie, glad it works for you!
I really like this too!
Yes- that’s a bit like the skies around here, Sue! 🙂 Take it easy!
Taking it easy is alas, not an option at present, but I’ll try… keep smiling, eh?
impressive
Hi Sue, You have transported us to a remote, deserted temple of ancient times on a moody day…Chris
Thanks!
This is really interesting, kind of surreal. I like the sort of blur in the foreground and the depth of field in this image, as well as the blue look of the trees. Hasty or not, good job. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your words, glad you like it! Now I’ve got to see what I can come up with next….
lovely process I like the moodiness!!
Oh, thanks Cybele….I now need to work out how to be creative for week 3!
It does, indeed, look a bit gloomy. Not a process I’d normally pick for a shot like this but definitely great for the challenge!
I’m rather inclined to agree, Emilio!
Definitely a dark look – shame there aren’t any bats flying around 😉
Haha….at 11.30 am, I don’t think so!
Hmmmm … looks like a storm’s a-brewing!
Does rather!
🙂
