This week’s WordPress Photo challenge is refraction. Tough one, and I couldn’t think what to post apart from the obvious image of a rainbow, except I couldn’t lay my hand on one.
Then last evening, I noticed light refracted on a CD….I liked the colours, but a very high ISO shot wasn’t great….
I thought it was a tough word this week, too. In fact, I haven’t even entered. Yours is fine, though. There’s refraction everywhere if we just choose to look!
Well, I’m more attuned to reflection!
At first I didn’t see the CD – couldn’t understand – but now! Smart!
Thanks Leya…andit’s made me realise I need to check noise reduction on this camera is on!
I like the texture of the colors from the surface that the light is shining on. A very creative solution to the challenge—Tres` Pink Floyd.
Ah, yes, Dark Side of the Moon….. Well, I do love their music…
It still looks great with the dark background. Where did the light come from?
Light from light bulb in room hitting the top of a cd sitting on a table….
It’s a rather mysterious creation, Sue, especially if one sees it as a picture, rather than a photo.
Result! That was the plan!
Well spotted and captured! So striking on the black…kinda looks like a comet’s tail in space!
Thanks, Susan! I deliberately underexposed and upped the contrast to get the effect….
I love this Sue!! Great shot and clever!!!
Thank you! It was a shot in the dark….!! 😉
I rather like it, Sue 🙂 I can see that CD as a nice cup of coffee. Off I go to put the kettle on. 🙂 My eyes obviously need caffeine.
😀 😀
Creative! Glad you decided to dive in!
Thanks, Tina….not one of my best!
Well seen – and a great way to accomplish WordPress’ photo challenge. Very creative.
Many thanks, Otto…. I do try to keep my creative hat on!
A fabulous flash!
Thanks Patti! 🙂
There’s something good about the bits of grittiness in the colours, makes the image more interesting…
And yet they were unintentional…I had forgotten noise reduction!
Great sliver of light caught there Sue !
Thanks, Poppy…it just caught my eye…
Excellent again. *smile
I will end up big-headed with all these compliments!
I don’t there is a chance about that. Have a good day today, so I can sit long enough to take time to pay back visits and support.
And you hhave a good ddaay, too!
