Refraction

This week’s WordPress Photo challenge is refraction. Tough one, and I couldn’t think what to post apart from the obvious image of a rainbow, except I couldn’t lay my hand on one.

Then last evening, I noticed light refracted on a CD….I liked the colours, but a very high ISO shot wasn’t great….

  1. I thought it was a tough word this week, too. In fact, I haven’t even entered. Yours is fine, though. There’s refraction everywhere if we just choose to look!

  2. At first I didn’t see the CD – couldn’t understand – but now! Smart!

I like the texture of the colors from the surface that the light is shining on. A very creative solution to the challenge—Tres` Pink Floyd.

  4. It still looks great with the dark background. Where did the light come from?

  5. It’s a rather mysterious creation, Sue, especially if one sees it as a picture, rather than a photo.

  6. Well spotted and captured! So striking on the black…kinda looks like a comet’s tail in space!

  7. I love this Sue!! Great shot and clever!!!

  8. I rather like it, Sue 🙂 I can see that CD as a nice cup of coffee. Off I go to put the kettle on. 🙂 My eyes obviously need caffeine.

  9. Creative! Glad you decided to dive in!

  10. Well seen – and a great way to accomplish WordPress’ photo challenge. Very creative.

  11. There’s something good about the bits of grittiness in the colours, makes the image more interesting…

  13. Excellent again. *smile
