Hot on the heels of Autumn Light comes Autumn Colour…in all its wonderful, vibrant showiness! At the request of Jude (of Smallbluegreenwords) I am showing the colour version of yesterday’s monochrome image:
But what I really want you to see are the real stars of the show so far this year here in the UK, OK, in Surrey….

Autumn Colour3
All wonderful captures – love the first one coz I have a large weak point about benches and this capture is excellent… :D…
Thanks, Drake…there is certainly something about benches 🙂
Lovely to see both in b&w and colour…thanks Jude 🙂 Gorgeous autumn pics Sue. So Surrey it is then? I was born in Surrey and lived there for ten years before moving to Suffolk. Lovely part of the world 🙂
🙂
PS Meant to say, I love the solitary bench…even better that it is empty…
Looks like the bench has one or two admirers!
I’m thinking of doing a ‘bench’ series next year (a bit like your ‘one’ series) as I love photographing benches and have a few! I now do a bench test on those I find 😆
Thanks for showing me the image in colour, it is lovely and so are the other shots – where in Surrey did you take these then? Could it be Winkworth?
And if you can, get yourself over to Sheffield Park Gardens in West Sussex – they are the best autumn gardens I have ever seen. http://wp.me/p3jVw4-jk
Of course the last three are Winkworth! Haven’t been to Sheffield Park for years, and I don’t think I ever saw it in the Autumn…unlikely to manage this year but maybe next! Thanks for the tip. Look forward to your benches (and I won’t ask what form a bench test takes 😉 )
Gorgeous shades of autumn, Sue. I also love your bench image. 🙂
Thanks! I just felt the shot was better with than without bench…but I still would have liked a person, but it didn’t happen! 🙂
No. 2 for me, all the way, Sue 🙂 I expect we’ll be available to test a few of Jude’s benches, won’t we?
I do hope so!
Gorgeous, vibrant colours. I love autumn in UK
Beautiful rich red Sue ! 🍁
Thanks! glad you like…
By the way, WordPress seems to have unfollowed me fro your site, so I’m signing up again!!
Thank you ! Please do! You inspire me. Why does it do that ? To me too
I wish I knew! It happens with some sites, but not others… 😦
Phenomenal color and light! I’m soaking it all in!
But isn’t it a shame that it is so short-lived…. and the dull days following seem to go on forever 😦
Beautiful colors! I love the vibrant colors of changing leaves, but find myself a little sad when the trees are bare several weeks later.
Thank you! And I agree re the sadness when the trees are so soon bare…
No leaves turning here in the South.
Too early?
Too early, and there is not as much color here as most of the trees do not drop their leaves.
gorgeous Autumn colors, Sue!
Thanks, Lola! Glad you liked them 🙂
Big thanks to you, Sue, for the fab photos, and big thanks to Jude for asking you to post colour pics – you have a good eye.
Ah, my eye! Yes, I have been told that before but it’s always great to hear. Glad you like the photographs, Polly 🙂
What a beautiful place and such rich wonderful colours.
Really lovely Sue!
Thanks, it is a beautiful place and the colours would have got even better after I took this – sadly I haven’t been able to get back…
Ah but you captured these 🙂
Hope you feel better again soon xx
Thanks, Robyn, much appreciated xx
