I was given some flowers over a week ago, and they are just starting to decay. I took one of the roses out of the water to hasten it’s demise (cruel woman)…. the petals have started to curl, and the whole flower is beginning to shrivel, Alas, I don’t have the light that I did earlier in the year, so there is less texture visible here. I must do some experiments with light sources when I have the time! Or energy.

Yellow rose shrivels…
Its artistic itself 🙂
Thank you…but not one of my best!
Your welcome. Well, lets appreciate things sometimes we thought they’re not the best but they do turn to be. Godbless!
Good point! 🙂
Thanks 🙂
Time to experiment with that light box?
Ha!
It’s lovely, even after death. 🙂
Thank you!
That ethereal, eclipse lighting that you are working with in this photo is wonderful.
Well, thank you Allan…..that would be the post-processing
cloaked in yellow – the shape of decay is lovely
Thanks Laura….it is an interesting shape, I agree 🙂
Stunning photograph!
Thank you!
That looks… almost a bit obscene 😉
Only you would come up with a comment like that! 😦
It’s the first thing that came to mind when I saw that pic! But why 😦 ? It’s not a bad thing 😉
Ah, it’s just your warped mind 😉 !!
My mind is like a fluffy white cotton ball cloud populated by singing angels.
My, how boring….
It’s a sad looker, Sue. Fancy you depriving it of water on purpose! I sometimes have that wilted feeling myself 🙂
Oh, I often have that wilted feeling! And you do understand, that flower was being deprived for the good of art 😉
Love the faded yellow against the black…stunning…
Fascinating, it looks almost like a crumpled duster 🙂
Well, doesn’t it?
I agree with Allan about the ethereal lighting and it working for you in this and other photos. This poor sad little flower and yet it crumples down on itself so elegantly. Maybe we could learn a lot from how flowers wilt gracefully…
Thanks, I like your comment!
