Weekly Photo Challenge: Endurance & Travel Challenge: Strong

Now this may not be the best combination of challenges that I have attempted, but it works for me!

Over at the WordPress Daily Post we are asked to show images that say Endurance, and Ailsa of ‘Where’s my Backpack?’ has us illustrating Strong. Well, like a number of others, I have gone the ancient ruin route.

My images show Lycian tombs in the cliffs above the town of Fethiye, South West Turkey. As they were built around 350BC, I would say they are a great illustration of Endurance. And to have lasted this long, they certainly would have to be solid and Strong!

The first image was taken from a distance, around midday.

This next shot of the upper part of the same tomb was taken on another day, in the late afternoon, when there was a lovely golden light:
