Beauty in Decay/23

Well, I was getting despondent about no new candidates for this series…when a friend presented me with some flowers that were just beginning to wilt (I had asked). Great, thought I, let’s see how they decay. I have been taking images for a few days, but nothing quite worked – until this morning!

From this defunct clump of daisies, some delicate little wispy things (seed heads? I don’t know, I’m no botanist) had fallen off and created a delightful vignette. Cue for a low key image or two, and here they are:

Please do correct me if these are not daisies, or if you know what the wispy things are!

  4. They look like dandelion seeds to me, but regardless these are lovely shots.

  6. Lovely low key images Sue!
Never seen daisies with the tufty bits before. They do look like dandelion seeds as previously said.
    Curious and gorgeous!
