This week, Ailsa has chosen Metal as her Travel Theme and the Daily Post has Twist for our Weekly Photo challenge this week. As luck would have it, I can combine the two in an image I took at an old car graveyard in Turkey.
Here it is in it’s abandoned, decaying, twisty metally glory:
Spot on Sue!
Thanks, Jude! I didn’t have to think for too long with this one 😉
I’m still thinking…
Well, I’m sure you’ll come up with a good one!
You do go off the beaten path, don’t you, Sue 🙂 – not your typical tourist highlight.
I certainly do! I love ruins, derelict, abandoned, cobwebs and corrosion! Luckily, on this trip I was with three men, one of whom had heard about this place and as we were all keen to visit the beaten track was left briefly!
Usually great photo ops in such places – I have been known to veer off the road to my destination for a bit of a poke about as well.
But often I make the place a destination, if I get sufficiently enthused!
Way cool for both challenge. I like it.
Thanks Cee!
Oh, this is terrific!!!!
Glad you like it, many thanks for your enthusiastic comment 🙂
Clever interpretation Sue! I love the textures.
The textures had a little help from Nik Effects just to draw them out a bit more!
😉
Very clever Sue. Great textures.
Thanks Sue…I love textures!
Neat combination Sue
🙂
You do like your ‘grunge’ photos, Sue 🙂 It’s a nice change from the pretty ones. Have a good weekend!
I’m doing it the other way now- going from yours to Jude 🙂 Bye!
good combination and still comfortable 🙂
😀
Perfect choice, Sue. There’s so much going on just in the little section you caught in the photo. I can only imagine the number of photos that would be taken if I ended up at a junkyard or some such place! My iPhone might explode. 🙂

Thanks, Janet, glad you liked it….. I try not to get too carried away taking loads of shots but not always successful!
I like all the different textures and colors.
Thanks! Much appreciated

What a great idea to combine two challenges — and your one photo says it all.
