I do think there is much beauty to be found in decay…

To See a World in a Grain of Sand...
I so agree! Love how the colors and textures change as the petals wither!
I was going to throw them out as soon as the first petal fell, and then decided to see what developed – I’m very glad I did!
I agree with you. All stages of life offer beauty.
Thanks Chris, very true….you just need to see it 🙂
And you do 🙂
Many thanks for the compliment!
As Georgia O’Keeffe said, “Tulips often die so beautifully.”
Ah, I didn’t know that quote! Thanks 🙂
Lovely in its starkness. Is it relevant that painted studies that we call ‘still life’ the French call la nature morte or ‘dead nature’?
I rather think it is…
Indeed, it is beautiful
Thanks, glad you like it!
Beautifully captured. I love seeing flowers ‘gone over’ you notice something different about them. This almost looks like a dancer!
Jude xx
Many thanks! I must try more ‘Nature Mort’ images!
I agree – you must!
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Jude!:)
I do believe one of them is taking a bow after a performance 🙂
It’s lovely to appreciate them for longer in this way !
I love that idea, Poppy, taking a bow! I need to find some more defunct flowers!
I agree about the beauty of decay. I love working with that subject.
This is beautiful.
Thanks! It’s a subject that always fascinates me….
Excellent … I like when beauty is found in roughness.
It is quite surprising where we can find beauty sometimes, don’t you?
Yes, sometimes I get a bit feed up with all the beauty that nature gives to us, so I try to find beauty where it’s not expected .. I think one of my best post and images I shot on a rail yard. And when I used some photo in the challenge it became my most viewed.
