Weekly Shoot and Quote Challenge: Empty

Ese has challenged us with Empty as this week’s theme for her Shoot and Quote challenge.

“I feel very at home in an empty church. I feel the most protected. It’s very mystical.”
Jean Dujardin

  1. When did you change you theme? I like it, sorry for not noticing earlier. I like this photo and really relate to the quote.

  2. I was hoping someone would use this quote! It’s a lovely one. And your image is just wonderful and well suited for it.

  3. Beautiful pairing of the photo and the quote. I think being in a church is a very personal experience, perceived by people so differently. And in an empty church…yes, it can be the most powerful…

  4. beautiful! i love churches of old! the pews are unusual.

    • The DeutscWeißkirche in Viskri is one of the Saxon churches that the region is known for. They were fortified churches, and very simple inside.

  5. Suzanne

The photo really goes with the quote. Very calming.

  6. I love the combination of quote and image Sue. I too enjoy lingering in quiet empty spaces.

Over to you...
