This week, Ailsa has chosen Romance as her travel theme. I thought of many places I have been to which would fit this theme in a number of different ways, but I was given some beautiful apricot-peach coloured roses over a week ago (nothing to do with Feb 14th), and they are still gamely, beautifully providing colour to my room. The Travel aspect to this is that I have no idea how far they travelled to get to me!! Possibly a local hop, possibly not….
So, I have taken an image of one, (just starting to show signs of it’s age!) and am posting it here in homage to the rose as symbol of romance….

Peachy rose
Taken with 18-200 VR, handheld at 1000ASA, 1/60th, f5 in order to utilise natural light. There is some noise, as one would expect at 1000ASA, but not dreadful. I recently had this nearly 7 year old lens serviced along with the camera and am pleased with the result.
Such a pretty delicate colour.I hope it is scented too!
Only very gently, but I forgive them for their colour!
Love the soft peachy pink too. Beautifully shot Sue
Thanks, Madhu…it was a hasty decision, no tripod and pleased it came out as well as it did!
Magnificent! So beautiful in this lovely light!
Thank you, Susan! It was a spur of the moment decision to take this shot..
What a lovely rose and your photo really captures the notion of romance.
Thanks,Suzanne….it’s such a lovely colour, it was crying out to be photographed!
One of my absolute favorite rose colors.
🙂
To answer your question, Sue, it’s a little plain, but a very clean look. And I love the rose 🙂
I like clean (the previous theme was), but need to do some more tweaking, or choose another theme…I wanted to use some different colours, but need to pay for that, so might just go for a paid theme. But, but, but…. I’ll see how I go! xx
Not easy, is it? Maybe too many choices 🙂
Well, I want to have a clean look for photos, and there are some great site designs out there at Premium prices, way too expensive, so I’m trying to do it without spending the money! And I like the fact that I can visually show a number of posts on the home page, without needing loads of scrolling with this one…. Hey ho!
