Krista has come up with Treasure for this week’s WordPress Photo Challenge.
I can think of many things that are treasure for me, ranging from places to items that have a link to my past. So for this post, I shall show an image of some silk flowers that my sister in law gave me, predominantly roses, which I treasure for their looks, and for brightening up my room and mood when I don’t have fresh flowers. And behind them is another treasure, but being out of focus, you can’t appreciate it! Oops!
This image has appeared in a previous post, but as I am somewhat time pressured at present, here they are again…

Focus on Flowers
Head over here for more treasures
Beautiful flowers!
Thank you!

Much to be said for silk flowers – I am much more successful with those 🙂 – Nicely captured Sue.
I’m Ok with sticking cut flowers in a vase, but no good at all with house plants! 🙂

Well, you know me, I’m a fresh flower person, but saying that I have seen some incredibly life-like (and expensive) silk flowers so I can understand their use. Your bouquet looks really beautiful and also reminds you of your sister in law, so it scores on two fronts. I just hate plastic flowers though – I mean why bother?
And I am guessing that the thing we can’t quite see is a lovely piece of artwork of a village in Provence or maybe Italy??

The silk flowers, are, I think expensive… and very realistic. In an ideal world, I am a fresh flower person, but the world is not ideal always!! The picture is from the South West of France, I love it… met the artist, bought the picture from his studio and sat drinking coffee and chatting in my schoolgirl French to him and his wife… One of those priceless moments.
Those are the best memories from travelling.

I do like a flower – once thought about opening a florist – and also enjoy Ikea’s bosomy plastic/silk blossoms for their utter ottness.
Oh, Mrs C! Bosomy or blossomy???
both – full blown flowers like a full bust 🙂
I hoped you might say that! If you’ve got it, flaunt it is what these flowers are saying!
Lovely Sue – also love the story about the painter 🙂
Thanks Tina…I have very fond memories of the afternoon at the painter’s
