Lingering Look at Windows: Cuba

It’s Week 45 for Dawn’s Lingering Look at Windows! Go to her site for a multitude of windows. Admittedly, I haven’t been posting for that many weeks…

This week, I have decided to go for a semicircular theme, and have been reminiscing over travels in Cuba. So here are some Cuban windows with atmosphere from Old Havanna, Camaguey, Santiago de Cuba and Cienfuegos. Some more colourful than others.

  1. I’m always looking for semi-circular windows. Love the ‘window behind the chandelier’

  2. Those first two are so full of character, Sue. I really like them 🙂

    • Those are my favourites, and I’m only sad that I didn’t take my FM2 with me- I just had a tiny compact, hence the very grainy look of the first image. Anyway, that’s how it was, and at least I have some images, even if poor quality!

  3. Nice colours on that last window, but it does look a little out of place in that rectangular space, Nice series of shots.

    • Thanks Draco! I hadn’t thought about that last one… They’ve either slapped an old window into a boring modern doorframe, or rebuilt an old doorframe into something too regular!

  4. Oh Cuba! In my dreams! I like the colors and the vintage murals! Great photos. Enjoy the weekend!

  5. The first two are my favourites too. Hope to make it there in the next couple of years.

  6. arched windows are very charming!

  7. Love old decaying stuff. I must make it to Cuba before it changes.

    • Well, I would thoroughly recommend a visit… I went just under a decade ago, it would be interesting to see how much has changed since then….
