Ese’s Weekly Shoot and Quote Challenge: Intangible

This week, Ese’s Weekly Shoot and Quote Challenge is asking us to show Intangible.

Well, I found a number of quotes, but how to fit an image to the quote? I wanted to show intangible, but by dint of an image and some post-processing jigging, have only partly succeeded (got the ‘formless’ bit!)…Anyway, time is of the essence this week, so this is how it will stay:

“There are intangible realities which float near us, formless and without words; realities which no one has thought out, and which are excluded for lack of interpreters.

Might have done for mysterious or atmospheric rather than intangible? Let me know….

Beautiful post! I’m in awe with the photo of Dawn mist!

    • Oh, many thanks, much appreciated! This was scanned from a slide, and then I had a play around…..I think I overdid the vignette, though! Anyway, glad you liked it 🙂

What a lovely photo. I thought about using that quote too – it’s a beauty isn’t it. I like the way you have interpreted it.

    • Thank you, Suzanne I really wasn’t at all sure it worked! And my treatment of the image was a bit ham-fisted, but I ran out of time… 🙂

  3. I think you did a mighty fine job.

  4. Wonderful photo and quote.

    • Ooh, thanks Mrs C… we were on holiday in the South West of France in a very nice hotel We had the room with a view – at 6.30 am, or some ungodly hour, this was the sight from the bedroom window. I leaped out of bed and grabbed a few shots (only 3, it was film in those days!).

  5. beautiful quote with an awesome photo!

  6. I don’t really care if it’s intangible or not- it’s a beautiful photo. (and a very hard subject!) 🙂

  7. Mysterious is the right description 🙂 Beautifully done!!!

  8. Lovely photo. I do like your interpretation but I think it could have worked for mysterious or atmospheric as well. Isn’t it fun how photography can be flexible that way?

  9. Works for me Sue 🙂 Just beautiful! Brilliant quote too.

  11. I am in awe about the photo…stunning! And with the quote….it is telling a beautiful story.

    • Oh, thanks, Ese! I’m glad you like it! I love your challenge, and never like to be beaten (but some weeks I don’t get the inspiration!) 🙂
