Friday is the day I toss up between posting an entry for the Weekly Photo challenge, or Ailsa’s travel Theme, or maybe even Dawn’s Windows…depending on the inspiration I have for the particular challenge/theme.
Today, Ailsa’s Travel Theme: Connections won, when I realised I had the ideal shot in the archive….. converteded it to Black and White (with the intention that this focuses the viewer’s attention on the connection), and one post sorted!!

Connecting in play
See more Connections over at Ailsa’s blog, Where’s my Backpack.
That’s a delightful photo.
Thanks, Suzanne… The innocence and the intensity of childhood, eh?
Lovely, and works well in B&W
Thanks Jude…. I’m having a great time playing with my newly acquired Nik Collection, I had always wanted to try Silver Efex Pro. 🙂
Nicely done, Sue.

Glad you went with B&W. It is beautiful!
Many thanks, Madhu! I’m enjoying having a go at black and white conversion with some shots…
Black and white probably added to the charm of this photo.
It has a feeling about it reminiscent of everyone’s childhood.
I think you’ve hit the nail on the head, Jack! 🙂
It is an enchanting photo. Black and white, like reading a book as apposed to seeing a movie, one can visualise the colours or characters. Our own imagination is usually more pleasing. Although I still love colour, that is just a thought on B and W. Looking forward to more Sue.
I love black and white, but these days rarely use it… although I am starting to find myself thinking ‘that would look good in monochrome’ so perhaps I’ll get doing more. Coupled with the fact I have Silver Efex to play with!
Well done–the juxtaposition between the girls and nature is engaging and inviting.
Many thanks, glad you like it!
