Ese’s Weekly shoot and Quote Challenge: Intricate

Scratching my head over this latest challenge from Ese’s Voice…seemed like a good word for a quote, but I had a hard time finding any that seemed remotely usable, in terms of finding an image to connect with the quote.

I finally decided on the following, which suited my love of monochrome, and decay:

“She learned the intricacy of loneliness: the horror of color, the roar of soundlessness and the menace of familiar objects lying still.”
Toni Morrison, A Mercy

  1. I’m glad you kept looking for the perfect quote, I like this combination!

  2. This is great, both the quotation and the picture!

  3. Ah beautiful quote and I love the B&W still life.
Those gossamer cobwebs certainly qualify for ‘delicate’! 😀

    • Gossamer cobwebs, I like that! It was a challenge this week to come up with a quote I could link an image to – wonder what Ese has in store for us on Sunday!

  4. Suzanne

A Miss Haversham moment 🙂 – well done. A great marriage of quote, image and your personal inclinations.
