Well, for this week’s Lingering Look at Windows, I thought I would post just a couple of rather seedy looking windows from southern Italy, almost continuing the ‘Brown’ theme of my last post! And yes, I have given them a bit of treatment in HDR EfexPro, as it just gives them a bit more of the decayed atmosphere I am looking for.
Take a look at Dawn’s blog, The Day After, for many more windows in her challenge.

Semi Circular, Matera

Abandoned church window, Craco
Love it! Toledo has lots of these…
Thanks! Glad you liked the post.. 🙂
Hey, anything with ‘seedy’ in the headline…! 😉
Hey ho, completely my thing… (And of course, there’s always Seed Cake, my Gran used to make it, had caraway seeds in I think) 🙂
Oooooh, that’s making me think of poppy seed cake…. damn you!!!!
Just testing if you are a true ‘lady of the cakes!’ 😀 😀
Yup. No escaping that 😉
It’s nice to photograph the seedier side of life too! It’s a shame a church was left to get into that state but I must say it’s a very poignant image.
Indeed, you get some interesting images from seedy, and I’m having some fun with a free trial of Nik Software! That church wasn’t going to escape, because the whole village had to be abandoned because the land was unstable…
I like seedy 🙂 But that poor church looks like it has been shot at!
Well, yes, the HDR did bring some aspects out -but I don’t think it was bullet holes!
