I’ve been away for a few days, so no blog posts. When I saw Ailsa’s Travel Theme for this week was ‘Brown’, I thought to myself “great, nice easy one”…. Lucania, visited on my Italy trip this year, was predominantly shades of brown.
So without further ado, here are my offerings, ranging from abandoned or dilapidated to landscape and animals.
Do visit Ailsa’s blog, Where’s my Backpack, for more brown images!
Super shades of brown, Sue. I find myself identifying with the cow so feel it may be bed time.
Hope you’re not going to wear a large bell round your neck…. Sweet dreams 🙂
no, it wasn’t the bell.
😉
Love that door, Sue. Want to know what’s behind it!
Thanks for your responses to my latest posts. Do visit again. (As I will return to yours!)
Thanks, Candia! I love doors and windows, and it’s always interesting to speculate what’s behind…perhaps better not to know, sometimes!
Great take on brown. I really like the one of the hillside.
Many thanks! I was really taken with the landscape, and had to get my friend to stop the car umpteen times so I could take photos of the scenes unfolding… 🙂
I know that feeling 🙂
Nice browns Sue, I really like the door!
Thanks! I played about ing HDR Efex for the door, but without (hopefully) overdoing it!
I don’t think you overdid it, just highlighted the interesting elements!
Thanks, good to know what others think! 🙂
Excellent! And how cool of that cat to fit the description – instead of the usual rag bag tabby cat 🙂
A very cool cat, my friend wanted to take her home, she had the most beautiful eyes….
this is made with a lot of taste
Thanks Mitza! Much appreciated 🙂
Great gallery of browns. There’s charm in the abandoned door. Must have been beautiful during its glory. If only it could talk 🙂
Thanks, Lola. As for the door, I love old doors that are a bit battered, careworn, atmospheric and with who knows what history….. As you say, if only they could talk (although sometimes it might be best not to know) 🙂
