Just one image from me for this one…taken through an embrasure in the castle roof, for a different view of the gardens at Chateau d’Ussé in the Indre-et-Loire region of France. The Chateau was sited at the edge of the Chinon forest as a defense point, and built in the 11th Century. It has a very pleasant garden to wander around in, and is touted as the Sleeping Beauty castle…complete with twee figures up in one of the bedrooms. See more unusual points of view here

Well, d’you know I had a number of shots of old places behind foliage etc, and I thought I needed to show something different…so thanks for your comment! 🙂

I like the way the rough stone contrasts with the precise garden and tidy buildings.

Lovely shot, Sue. Have you been on holiday, or just busy? I haven’t seen you around, but then I’ve varied my challenges this week 🙂
Hi Jo! I’ve been for a brief holiday in Italy – food for my blog! I visited one of the places high on my bucket list, the ruined town of Craco in southern Italy, amongst other places. 🙂
Expertly framed – love it 🙂
