Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge: Liquid

Just one shot for my entry, to Cee’s Fun Photo Challenge which definitely has liquid – in the shape of water, water everywhere..

This was taken at the Villa d’Este in Lazio, Italy. The sheer volume of water pumped through those fountains is truly eye-watering, and given that it is purely for show, rather sobering.

    Wow what a spectacular sight.

    • Thanks, Suzanne….it’s quite a place. And I found this angle, off the main path (if I recall correctly), to get as much water in as possible to emphasise the effect. 🙂

  2. hi Sue, this is an awesome capture … i have seen how specifically Rome, Italy is filled with beautiful fountains like this particular one you took in Lazio. Thank you for visiting me as well 🙂 —April

  3. Must have been spectacular to see in person. Wonderful photo!

    • Many thanks, Cee! It certainly was a sight – I have never seen fountains on that scale before and I am sure I never will again… 🙂

  4. Wow! Wonderful photo and place!
