Over at WordPress this week, the Photo Challenge is Masterpiece (check the link for some great images).
I was wondering what I should post for this, what I felt would be fitting -then I realised that I had relatively recently been introduced to an Art Deco masterpiece. This is the Watts Cemetery Chapel in Compton, Surrey of which I have posted some images in earlier posts.
Check out this gallery to get some idea of this amazing place.

Love Art Deco and Art Nouveau (Jugendstil in German)! Brussels in Belgium is known for it (the Victor Horta house for example). Sadly no such thing in Ireland though, which is a pity because it’s such beautiful art.
🙂
This is fabulous, Sue! So many masterpieces in our world 🙂
Thanks Jo! Yes, we have so many masterpieces in our world, many hidden away!
Beautiful Sue!
Many thanks, Tina!
Such an interesting and beautiful chapel. You captured it and all its detail beautifully Sue!
Thanks very much! It is a stunning place…
