Weekly Photo Challenge: The Golden Hour

This week, WordPress Photo Challenge is The Golden Hour….Alas, in my travels, I don’t seem to get to capture this too regularly, as my companion/companions are getting hungry or thirsty! Anyway, as usual, I had a little traipse through the archive, and here are a few evening-light shots. From Scotland (Outer Hebrides, fantastic for evening light), Devon and Norfolk:

Sky blue pink or golden? What works for you?

  2. lovely. The golden hours are the best for lighting, so make a point of having dinner earlier or later and get out there. you are missing the best time to capture the world.

  3. Beautiful and my favourite – a shadow couple on a stoney beach. Hope you check your spam 🙂

  4. Nice set! I love the colorful sky: golden, blue, pink, orange etc!

  5. Honestly I like all the lovely colors, nice gallery.

  6. Suzanne

These are lovely photos. The last one really captures that sense of stillness in the northern twilight. It reminds me of my visits to Ireland.

  7. Pat

I missed these on my reader – these are beautiful. I especially like the one of Portree – I remember being there at rush hour, when the traffic was so heavy it didn’t even need stop signs.

    • Thanks for your comment, Pat, much appreciated. I wasn’t sure what to post initially, but these have had a few comments, so I chose the right ones!

  8. Lovely collection of golden hour shots!!

    • Thanks for commenting! Yes, wandering around at sunset in Portree was lovely….I wonder if it’s still the same. A few years since I’ve been. 🙂
