Weekly Travel Theme: Light

Over at Where’s my Backpack, Ailsa has chosen Light for the Weekly Travel Theme. This had me flummoxed (bewildered, mystified etc)….what to post. I don’t think I have many images of lights illuminating spaces, etc. Then I wound back the years in my memory, and thought of an amazing moment in the Western Highlands of Scotland. I was driving, and we were on a mountain road, driving in the pouring rain, massive dark clouds overhead, when suddenly….We rounded a bend in the road, saw this view of the loch below, clouds rolling back in the distance, and light!

I searched through my archive, and duly found the image. Comments, please…does this say ‘light’ to you?

Those of you who saw my post about ‘Contrast’ earlier this month will imagine that I hunt these wet-weather, dark cloud moments out, but it isn’t true! Just carry the camera, you never know what’s coming up on the horizon!

  1. I think this is an interesting interpretation of light. To be honest I had to think about it for a minute, but it does say light. Thanks for making me think 🙂
