For this week’s Thursday Lingering Look at Windows challenge, I have decided to go for blue in the image, blue window frame or shutter for example. These images have all come from trips to France over the years.
I have taken images of windows (and doors for that matter) for as long as I can remember on my travels. I find them endlessly fascinating, frequently colourful and very photogenic. Even old dilapidated windows can be beautiful, and doubtless I shall put a few of these together another week.
For this selection, the most interesting for me was the window in the Cathar area of France…on the windowsill were lots of strange little pottery creatures and other objects. Sadly, the light was almost gone as we had dashed out in the evening, so this image was taken in heavy shadow.
