This morning, as I came into the kitchen to get my breakfast, I spotted a squirrel on the fence, starting its morning cleaning ritual. It yawned very widely, would have been a brilliant shot but I didn’t have the camera to hand…..decided it might be around for a few minutes and hastily went in search of camera. Got a few snatched shots of him/her through the window, and wrote a quick haiku…….

so very cool…loved both..the pics and your haiku..haven’t seen one so close yet…really cool
Aww..very cute. I love squirrels. I know they can be a pest but then, so are we humans. 🙂
ha squirrels are so cool…i love to watch them play….and nice haiku as well….will have to see if i can spot one in the morning…we had a coon last night get on the porch…
I rather think seeing a coon on the porch has more kudos than watching squirrels!
Gorgeous ceature! And I like the word picture, too. 🙂

(I don’t know if I have already commented and it’s waiting in limbo somewhere, to pop up in multiple manifestations. This is about the 5th attempt. I gave up last night and am trying again this morning. People complain about Blogger, but I often find WordPress difficult and frustrating. Give me a capcha any day, over this interminable back and forthing and disappearing.)
Thanks! Your comment appeared in 2 manifestations, and I know what you mean regarding commenting on both Blogger and WordPress. If I am already logged into my WordPress account, it seems to pick up my avatar, but most of the time I enter my name and URL as profile and I can comment OK!
Fascinating Sue! Such candid camera gems are difficult to come by and you did it! Great haiku, Ma’am!

Thanks! The images could be sharper, I didn’t use optimal shutter speed as I just grabbed the camera without engaging brain…..
