Antics with Acrostics

I’m having a go at writing an acrostic, but it’s taking a bit of time to get the words right. I made a first draft the other day, and showed it to a fellow poet – the gist of her response was that I needed to bring it out of the ordinary….definitely fair comment!  Unfortunately life has intervened in the last few days, and I’m no further. Need to get on with my word wells, dip into the dictionary and thesaurus, do a bit of information gathering.

But last night, as I was drifting in and out of sleep, I came up with this different, very simplistic acrostic.  I’ll get back to the original one soon! I was once told I have a ‘butterfly mind’, this inability to stick with one idea sometimes seems to suggest there is some truth in that remark.

Antics (an Acrostic)
mazing what words can do
Not only can we tell,
The challenge is to show –
Imagery and imagination
Created by fertile minds
Simple, it is not!
