Time to get blogging

I’ve finally got around to my first blog, having prevaricated for long enough…It’s all come about because I started writing (poetry) a couple of years ago, and I discovered I’m missing out on engaging with other poets online. So here goes, in at the deep end!

‘WordsVisual’ comes from the fact that I am a very visual person and my poems tend to reflect this. Also, I am a photographer.

I am finding this blogging lark quite frustrating at the moment – I know what I want the thing to look like, but haven’t quite worked out how to do it…I never like to have a piece of work looking unfinished. But surely a blog is all about words? Well, as we know, plenty of photography blogs are out there..and surely, the more appealing something looks, the better the chance of someone actually staying to read? Well, it’s going to be a fascinating learning curve.

At the same time as getting this blog up and running, I have been adding another gallery to my photograph website, inspired by a conversation I had with a friend earlier in the week about the Cathar castles. Here’s one of Carcassonne..
